Dems make Obama's jobs package more appealing!
The millionaire surtax will take effect Jan. 1, 2012 and would cover the entire cost of Obama's jobs bill — about $450 billion over the next decade.
A tax of 5 percent would be applied to adjusted gross income above $1 million,
including income from capital gains and dividends.
Presently the top tax rate on earned income is currently 35 percent and the top capital gains tax rate is 15 percent. (More)

Did you
know that any job classified as H-1B is not open to
American citizens? That’s job opportunity genocide, writes
adjunct Northwestern professor James Carlini.
The H-1B program is like heroin to U.S. companies that are
now addicted to it even though the “shortage” of people is long over. There are many local people who are
underemployed and don’t have an equal opportunity to jobs
that are being restricted and awarded to foreign workers
only. This affects the American economy as a whole.
According to New York Daily News columnist and
prominent immigration lawyer Allan Wernick, employers can
sponsor “H-1B status even if qualified U.S. workers want
the job. Unlike for most employment-based permanent
residence visas, to get your H-1B status, an employer need
not prove the unavailability of a U.S. worker.” |
